Anxiety
In our culture, it’s socially acceptable to speak of anxiety but not of fear. And so we say we’re anxious when we might actually be afraid. The climate, the war in Ukraine, the recent change in the world order all contribute to our feeling both anxious and afraid.
Anxiety is the focus and fear of the future, it isn’t embodied as it’s a process in the mind. It takes us away from ourselves and catapults us into a fearful unknown.
