Holding to your values in difficult times

Many people are struggling with this new world order and the seeming prevailing lack of empathy or civility.

It can be a challenge to hold to your values when those around you appear uncaring or rude or uncivil. Take some time to ask yourself what you care about what matters to you —and then assess: am I living these values as fully as possible?

The only thing we can control in difficult times is how we act, how we are with others and in short, how we show our character. An extra thank you to the barista who prepared your coffee, a little smile or brief eye contact with a stranger in line, a compliment to someone who’s wearing something lovely, these things can matter to someone more than you know.
